Led by Rev. Paul Mundinger, members of Faith Lutheran Church and Student Center in La Crosse, Wisc. held out to win LCEF’s Young Investor (Y.I.) Challenge this month. With very strong support throughout all three weeks of the quiz, the ministry was the top organization and will be awarded $1,000.
The Y.I. Challenge was an online, ten-question quiz covering financial and stewardship topics sponsored by Lutheran Church Extension Fund. There were a total of five Y.I. Challenge awards this year in the upper Midwest districts. The quiz kicked off on Sunday, January 26 in celebration of National Lutheran Schools Week and ran for three weeks.

Invested funds help churches just like Faith. With investors' support, LCEF was blessed to help fund Faith's remodeling efforts several years ago. The congregation installed an elevator and updated the sanctuary floor (eliminated steps) and communion rail to be more handicapped accessible. The congregation also remodeled their cry room and flooring. If your LCMS congregation or school is interested in loan financing, please contact your district Lutheran Church Extension Fund vice president or visit lcef.org for more information.
