Generations came together at Trinity Lutheran School in Athens, Wisc. the last week of the Young Investor (Y.I.) Challenge and were victorious! Prior to Feb. 16, 2014, Trinity was in second place behind strong participation by Alleluia Lutheran Church of Wrightstown in Greenleaf, Wisc.
Knowing Trinity still had a chance at the $1,000 award, Trinity’s Y.I. Stamp Coordinator Dee Strack encouraged students to invite their grandparents and Trinity members to the school media lab to take the Y.I. Challenge.
The challenge was a ten-question, online quiz covering finance and stewardship questions sponsored by the Y.I. Club of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF). The Y.I. Challenge was open to all LCMS churches and schools in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The quiz kicked off on Sunday, January 26 in celebration of National Lutheran Schools Week and ran for three weeks.
