North Dakota District LCEF $1,000 Scholarship Winner

Congratulations Thomas Steenstrup! Steenstrup is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Minot, North Dakota and will graduate from DesLacs-Burlington High School this month. In the fall, he plans to attend Minot State University.

Pastor Paul Krueger recommended Steenstrup and wrote, “Thomas is a gracious young man who exhibits the qualities of integrity, dedication, and faithfulness.” Doug Wagner, DLBHS math teacher and basketball coach also recommended Steenstrup; he wrote, “I have been nothing but impressed with Thomas on every level. He is hard working, diligent and responsible. He takes initiative for his education and … treats everyone with the utmost respect…. We emphasize character development strongly in our basketball program at DLBHS, and Thomas has never disappointed.”

LCEF is blessed to provide annual scholarships to our outstanding LCMS students throughout the upper Midwest districts of Iowa East, Iowa West, Minnesota North, Minnesota South, North Dakota, North Wisconsin and South Wisconsin. The online scholarship application is posted online in September. Watch our local newsfeed and Facebook page for more 2014 scholarship winners to be announced this spring.
