Minnesota North District (MNN) Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) was blessed to support the MNN Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) 26th Biennium Convention in St. Cloud, Minn. June 23-25, 2014.
Mrs. Pamela Stauty, member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Aurora, Minn. was overjoyed to win the LCEF iPad Mini drawing at the convention on Wednesday morning, June 25. More than 100 women registered in the drawing.
LCEF staff shared the Young Investors (Y.I.) Club with attendees. With a minimum of $25 to open a Y.I. account, it is a great gift for children and grand children. It's a gift that connects the special young people in our lives to our church and ministry. Y.I. accounts earn 3.5% (June 2014) up to $1,000. Effective July 1, 2014 the Extra Credit for 10 hours of community service will be extended to Y.I. members ages 7-18 years old. Y.I. offers investors the opportunity to earn up to $50/year for good grades and community service. Click here to learn more about the Y.I. Club.
An estimated 350 women attended the convention this year, many of whom are LCEF investors themselves. MNN LCEF Vice President George Miller sponsored the convention's 50th Anniversary cupcake and punch reception as well as the convention charms and the drawing for an iPad Mini.
