“We are so blessed this fall at Trinity,” said Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) Advocate Dee Strack. “After being vacant for some time, we certainly appreciate our awesome, new pastor. We have celebrated baptisms, and we even have new families becoming involved with LCEF’s [Young Investors] Y.I. stamps.”
LCEF Advocates Wil and Dee Strack hosted an LCEF Sunday at their home congregation, Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens, Wisconsin on Oct. 18, 2015. LCEF sponsored after-service snacks and beverages while the Stracks shared information about the LCEF ministry and how it supports Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) churches and schools just like their own.
LCEF also sponsored a table for Athens’ Christian Education Banquet on Oct. 24th. This year’s banquet was such a success that they had to move the event to a larger venue where a record-breaking $20,000 was raised. “We raised $10,000 for each Christian school in our little town of 1,100,” said Strack. “LCEF had four winning tickets up for grabs. The winning names were drawn the Friday before the banquet at the local IGA grocery store where folks could enter their names for the past two weeks.” The Stracks coordinated the contest and the winners were Brenda Woellner, Kathy Kremstrieter and their guests.
Young Investors (Y.I.) Stamps
Over the years, thousands of children have purchased stamps and invested nearly a million dollars with LCEF. They learn they can have a direct impact on growing God's kingdom while saving for their own future.
If your LCMS Sunday or day school is interested in offering Y.I. Stamps for your students, please contact Maria.Hendrickson@lcef.org or visit lcef.org for more information.
