“Heart of the Neighborhood” Awarded LCEF District Outreach Grant

Congratulations Trinity Lutheran Church and School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa! Trinity was awarded the 2019 Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) Iowa District East $1,000 Outreach Grant.

Trinity will host a TLC Welcome Center “Grand Opening.” This event, scheduled for Fall 2019, will include food, games and tours of the church and school. This event will also kick-off Heart of the Community series of information/education events that will occur over the course of the year. These events include speakers and classes on Caring for an Aging Family Member, What You Need to Know About your Kid(s) and Social Media, Human Trafficking, SuperSitters (babysitting course), VBS, etc. Each event will include a meal and free childcare.

 The 2020 LCEF district grant applications will be available at lcefcentral.org/grants beginning in September 2019. All LCMS Iowa District East organizations are encouraged to apply.

 LCEF has also been blessed to support Trinity over the years with affordable loan financing. Thanks to LCEF investors, these funds are available to Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod ministries at home and abroad.
