Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) was blessed to support our youth at the 2019 National Youth Gathering (NYG) in Minneapolis last month. LCEF sponsored various applications (apps) and events at both the district and national levels, including the popular LCEF Exchange.
At the LCEF Exchange, NYG attendees were able to check their youth group Steward Account® balances, make withdrawals and more.
Held every three years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity. During the five days of the Gathering, youth spend time together in God’s word, worship, service, and fellowship with others from across the synod. This event is organized by LCMS Youth Ministry in Saint Louis, Missouri.
At their NYG district event, Diana Raasch, LCEF District Vice President - South Wisconsin (pictured left,) shared firsthand how LCEF supports Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod ministries across the nation and abroad with affordable loan funding. The loans are made possible thanks to LCEF investors from babies to grandparents. Raasch also shared the opportunities for youth to apply for college scholarships.
