Engaging Rural Communities

The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Rural Small Town Mission office hosted an Engaging Rural Communities event in Alexandria on Saturday, September 29, 2012.  Pastor Tim Renstrom who serves Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton, Minn. presented “Community Asset Mapping.”  

There was a total of 37 in attendance, including pastors and lay leaders, representing 15 congregations from Minnesota and North Dakota.  The host church was Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria.

North Dakota District Lutheran Church Extension Fund Vice President Bill Sharpe led a demographics presentation. Also in attendance was Mike Zimmer, Minnesota South District Assistant to the President for Missional Formation.
